All of our adoptable animals are in the care of volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org.

Lovely Lou---Lou did not have the best start in life. She was dumped and wandered on to a farm pitifully malnourished and obviously abused. The nice people at the farm took her in, vetted her, and made her feel wanted again. She just wants to please and be loved!!! Lou is 9 months to 1 year old. She has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on preventative. She weighs 35 or so pounds, and should not get any bigger. She looks like a mini Lab. She is house trained, likes to sleep in her crate, likes cats, gets along well with other dogs, and loves kids. She loves to play, give kisses and hugs. She is totally non-aggressive and submissive. Lovely Lou is waiting for you! For more information or to obtain an adoption application, please contact shannon@alspca.org.
Our Adoption Fee is $125, unless otherwise noted, and goes towards the vet expenses for the animals in our care. Included in the adoption contribution is spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, and microchip.
