Collie/shepherd mix
Charlie is a 2-to-3 year old, medium-sized, 45-pound male, mixed breed collie/shepherd mix who was found covered in frost after sleeping overnight in a vacant field. He happily relishes and returns human attention, plays with other dogs, behaves nicely in a car and ignores stuck-up house cats. He is quiet by nature, rarely barks, and is housebroken. Update from Charlie's foster mom: Charlie was a bedraggled young male who wandered for a least a year in search of food, shelter, and companionship. He was frequently observed with frost on his coat after spending a cold night in a vacant lot or appeared gaunt from a lack of food. Friendly, but timid, Charlie had to be coaxed into the home of a volunteer. For more information on adopting this dog, please email adoptions@alspca.org. The adoption fee is $125 and will go toward our vet expenses. All dogs are microchipped and will come with a 30 day free trial of pet insurance.
