All of our adoptable animals are in the care of  volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org

Not sure you're ready to adopt? Fostering an animal may be a great way to find out if you're ready! Ask about our Foster-to-Adopt Program

Can't Adopt or Foster? Maybe you'd like to provide sponsorship for an animal. Sponsors are needed to help with vet care expenses as well as food, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, etc. Monetary donations may be sent via http://paypal.com to donations@alspca.org. You may also mail your donation to Alabama SPCA, P.O. Box 78, Northport, AL 35476

Joy can go to her forever home on 8/03/13!

Joy's adoption fee is $300 plus the transport fee that gets her to New England is $125 paid directly to the transport company!

IF you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application! If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement! Thank you for your understanding and consideration and for helping the dogs and puppies in need!

IF you submit an application, please check your email and your spam / bulk folder several times a day- a delay in responding to us may result in the puppy you are interested in being adopted by an applicant who did reply to us.

Please include a cell number that accepts texts as you will get a text message letting you know we have received your application, so please check your text messages after submitting the application!

Once we receive your application you will get a reply with email and phone contact info for the rescuer and foster Mom to ask specifics about the dog or puppy you are interested in!

Joy is fully vetted and will be microchipped prior to adoption. Also, she will come with a 30 day free trial of pet insurance. She is up to date on shots, heartworm prevention, and flea prevention.

She must go to a home where she will live inside as an important member of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21
