All of our adoptable animals are in the care of volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org.

Can't Adopt or Foster? Maybe you'd like to provide sponsorship for an animal. Hello Hello Everyone! I'm so glad you stopped by to see me. I'm sure you know already because I am pretty much the most popular girl in town, but my name is Joey, and my friends sometimes call me Jojo. I'm also happy with Joey Bean and Just plain Jo, but I promise there is nothing "just plain" about me! I am the official greeter here at the Alabama SPCA, because I pretty much love everyone and everything and enjoy telling my friends all about how amazing life can be. I'm a pretty sporty girl and LOVE a good romp or a hike, and playing in the yard with my friends, but I also know a good cuddler when I see one, and would be happy to eat popcorn on the sofa with you while binge watching Grey's Anatomy. (I can't help it, it's my guilty pleasure). At only 18 lbs I'm a teeny little package with a great big punch of life inside. I promise with some relationship building classes I will teach you how to take care of all my needs like teaching you how to communicate in my language, and how to be the best friend I would love for you to be. Our Adoption Fee is $125, unless otherwise noted, and goes towards the vet expenses for the animals in our care. Included in the adoption contribution is spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, and microchip.
