All of our adoptable animals are in the care of  volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org

Not sure you're ready to adopt? Fostering an animal may be a great way to find out if you're ready! Ask about our Foster-to-Adopt Program

Can't Adopt or Foster? Maybe you'd like to provide sponsorship for an animal. Sponsors are needed to help with vet care expenses as well as food, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, etc. Monetary donations may be sent via http://paypal.com to donations@alspca.org. You may also mail your donation to Alabama SPCA, P.O. Box 78, Northport, AL 35476

About Wilma

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Ear Type: Natural/Uncropped

Hi, Wilma here. I am a Lab mix [maybe some Weimer and chow in me, too---I have a solid black tongue]. I was found a few days before the awful storms, wandering from farm to farm, and was very skinny and sick. A wonderful family has been taking care of me since then, hoping my family would claim me. I am very gentle and kind and enjoy relaxing on the couch and watching TV. I am great with kids and other animals. You can see how pretty I am. I have been spayed and fully vetted. I need a forever home. Could it be with you?

Wilma is heartworm negative, up to date on preventatives as well as vaccintions, and spayed. She is all ready to go on to her forever home! The adoption fee is $125 and will go toward the vetting expenses for her. Please contact shannon@alspca.org for an adoption application

Our Adoption Fee is $125, unless otherwise noted, and goes towards the vet expenses for the animals in our care. Included in the adoption contribution is spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, and microchip.
