All of our adoptable animals are in the care of volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org.

Can't Adopt or Foster? Maybe you'd like to provide sponsorship for an animal. UPDATE on DEX: Dex gets sweeter by the day. I don't think one could ask for a nicer dog. This guy is now about 10 months old and he's the most docile dog. Dex is extremely appreciative for every bit of attention as well as the basic necessities, like filling his food and water bowls. He's crate trained, house trained, walks well on a leash, and he's the most gentle dog when meeting young people. We believe Dex would be a great candidate for a therapy dog. This handsome guy is Dex, a 10 month old lab mix. Dex has been patiently waiting for his forever family to come along. This guy is so very sweet and loveable, he will make a great pet for some lucky family, no doubt. Dex is crate and house trained. He is great with children and loves to run and play with them. Dex was just a few month old when he and his brothers and sisters were found, abandoned, on Hwy 69, just outside of Tuscaloosa county. If you think Dex might be the perfect addition to your family, please contact us to set a time to meet this wonderful boy! Dex is neutered, fully vaccinated, and will also be microchipped. Our Adoption Fee is $125, unless otherwise noted, and goes towards the vet expenses for the animals in our care. Included in the adoption contribution is spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, and microchip.
