All of our adoptable animals are in the care of volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org.

Can't Adopt or Foster? Maybe you'd like to provide sponsorship for an animal. We heard about Chopper when he was originally adopted from the Mobile Shelter for an adopter. Unfortunately, the adopter wasn't committed and backed out, leaving Chopper with no place to go. Shelters don't keep seniors very long! We knew we had to help this boy somehow. We put a plea out to our foster network and were lucky enough to find a foster for this sweet ole soul. Transport from Mobile to Tuscaloosa took place and Chopper is now safe with us!
Getting to know Chopper didn't take long at all.... He is a very loving, friendly boy, and also a large boy weighing in at 70 lbs. Chopper is great with children, loves other dogs, and is a pretty laid back kind of guy. Chopper is 10 yrs old so we would like to find him a forever home of his own for the time he has left. What a rewarding experience it is, to give a senior a forever home to live out his final days! Chopper is neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Our Adoption Fee is $125, unless otherwise noted, and goes towards the vet expenses for the animals in our care. Included in the adoption contribution is spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, and microchip.
